How much money is 16 2/3 of $`1200

Needs to be solved with simple equation.

Basically I don't know how to find percent without converting mixed number to decimal. Need exact answer with work shown.

Answer:

20000

Explanation:

16 and 2/3 of 1200:


= \left(16 + \frac23\right) * 1200


=(16 * 1200)+ \left(\frac23* 1200\right)


=19200+ \frac{2400}3


=19200+800


=20000

Or you can convert the mixed number into an improper fraction:


= \left(16 + \frac23\right) * 1200


= \left( \frac{16* 3+2}3\right) * 1200


= \frac{50}3 * 1200


= \frac{50 * 1200}3


= \frac{60000}3


=20000
