Answer:

List the four founding documents discussed in this unit. The four founding documents for the United States are the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Federalist Papers, and the Constitution. The Declaration was the first of these and was the document that separated the US colonists from the British and sparked the American Revolution. This was the first official document outlining what our country and government are today. The Articles of Confederation was the document that created the 13 states and documented the idea that the states would have a substantial amount of power rather than a strong central government. The Articles established the government after they had separated themselves from Britain. The Federalists Papers were created by the Federalists to try to persuade Anti-Federalists to join their side as they were attempting to ratify the Constitution. The Federalists were in favor of having a stronger central government, while antifederalists were more in favor of stronger state governments. Lastly, the most important founding document is the Constitution. The Constitution outlined the framework of the government into 7 distinct parts. Since the Constitution has been modified 27 times to match with the growing nation. The Constitution defines and limits the power of the government and is the bases for our laws today. What is the difference between natural rights and individual rights?Although these rights are fundamentally the same, they do have one major difference that separates the two. Natural rights are the rights given to a person based on where they are in the world and other circumstances. This exists because ofthe major differences in culture around the world and how specific cultures affect andare affected by the government that they are in. Individual rights, though, are rights having to do with life and survival. Every human needs certain things to live and succeed in life. Different countries have different variations of these rights and they aren’t consistent worldwide. The individual rights in America are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which has become an essential phrase within and around America.
