Answer:

x = 1

Explanation:

So first we have to identify what f(x) and g(x) equals. We can do this by looking at their y-intercept and determining their slope, by its rise/run

the two equations are:

y = -2x - 1

y = x + 2

now we solve

f(x) + g(x) = 0

substitute

-2x - 1 + x + 2 = 0

simplify

-x + 1 = 0

divide by -1

x - 1 = 0

add one on both sides

x = 1
