Question -:

A convex pentagon has interior angles that measure 60, 80, 120, and 140. What is the measure of the fifth interior angle?

Explanation -:

Given -

  • First interior angle = 60°
  • Second interior angle = 80°
  • Third interior angle = 120°
  • Fourth interior angle = 140°

To Find -

  • Fifth interior angle

Solution -

Let us assume fifth interior angle as x

We know,

Sum of interior angles of a pentagon is 540°

60° + 80° + 120° + 140° + x° = 540°

→ 400° + x° = 540°

→ x° = 540° - 400°

→ x = 140°

Fifth interior angle of a pentagon = 140°
