Question: The function
f(x) = 3x-4 has a range of
\{-7, -1, 0, 5, 11, 20\}.

What is the domain?

Domain:
\{-1, 1,(4)/(3) , 3, 5, 8\}

Explanation:

Domain is the input, and range is the output. In other words, the domain is the
x value, and the range is the
f(x) (the whole value, output). So we will solve each one step by step, all with the same solution. To reiterate, what is done for -7, for instance, will be done for every other range.

Start with -7. Remember, solve this accordingly.

Replace the
f(x) with the range

f(x) = 3x - 4\\\\=-7 = 3x - 4

Solve

-7 + 4 = -3

(When adding negative a to a positive, it results in a negative.)

(-3)/(3) = -1

That's how you solve it.

The function () = 3 − 4 has a range of {-7, -1, 0, 5, 11, 20}. What is the domain-example-1
