Finally get to swoop in and answer!

Each new value is 1 plus twice the previous value.

First value is 1. Then,

1 plus twice 1 = 3, the second value.

Second value is 3

1 plus twice 3 = 7, so

Third value is 7

and so on (this is merely a check)

Answer:

It's choice 2.

Explanation:

The nth value is 1 more than twice the previous value

- for example, 15 = 2*7 + 1.
