Thermal energy can transfer between objects in contact with different temperature because…. Let’s say object A is 100°, and object B is 20°…. If they come in contact together, the higher temperature (100°) will transfer thermal energy to the lower temperature (20°)

If two objects at different temperatures are brought in contact with each other, energy is transferred from the hotter to the colder object until equilibrium is reached and the bodies reach thermal equilibrium
