NP = 1.25

Explanation:

ΔQMN similar to ΔRMP

(QM)/(RM)=(MN)/(MP)

(8)/(10)=(5)/(MP)

MP=(5*10)/(8) =6.25

$MP = MN + PN\\6.25 = 5 + PN\\PN = 6.25-5 =1.25$
