Hey there!

Solve using pythagoras theorem (given ∆ABC is a right triangle)

Pythagoras theorem ⇨ Hypotenuse² = Base² + Altitude²

In ∆ABC,

BC = 14 cm

AC = 48 cm

AB = c

Solve for c.

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Altitude²

c² = AC² + BC²

c² = 48² + 14²

c² = 2304 + 196

c² = 2500

c = √2500

c = 50 cm

Hope it helps ya!
