Meanwhile in Antoine De Saint-Exupèry’s story called the Little Prince, a plane crashes and the pilot meets a prince of an asteroid.

Both Enrique and the pilot both learn how not to be careless and survive in harsh conditions.

Award-winning author Sonia Nazario has written two stories in the forms of an editorial and a biography. These two writing styles are similar to each other in many ways but are also different in others. In both Nazario’s editorial and biography she explains similar topics about immigrant children. The way Nazario goes about explaining her topic differs in both stories. I will attempt to compare both Sonia Nazario’s editorial “The Children of the Drug Wars: A Refugee Crisis, Not An Immigration” and her biography “Enrique’s Journey.”

In her editorial, she speaks of the issues of children leaving for America alone to try and find their parents. As well as the hardships they face when trying to get into America. The editorial is more opinionated, providing evidence to back how she feels about how we should be treating these children and the determination of whether or not they could live in the US.

Nazario's biography was mainly about telling the story of one of these children. It was made to give information towards his story and less persuasive towards a certain point. While the editorial was there to back up her feelings about the laws in the United States about immigrants. The biography shows you what it felt like to be in the situation and how hard it was for the children searching for safety or their parents.

Sonia Nazario’s editorial and biography each tell a story about the struggles of immigrant children. Both provide information on the problems immigrant children face when trying to escape harsh environments or find their parents. In “The Children of the Drug Wars: A Refugee Crisis, Not An Immigration” Nazario discusses her opinions on the topic as well as what we can do to help immigrant children. In “Enrique’s Journey” Nazario tells a story that provides details about the struggles immigrant children went through without bias. While both Nazario’s editorial and biography provide insight into the lives of immigrant children and their hardships they do so in very different ways.

In conclusion, the editorial was made to be more persuasive, using opinions and detailed evidence to back her feelings. While the biography may also push you towards following in her opinion about the laws, it was informative of a child's journey and gave you an understanding of what these children felt during that time.
