Write an expression for each of these situations. You can choose your own letters, but make sure you write what your letters represent.

Answer:

7d+6b

6r

Explanation:

let
d be the cost of a drink

let
b be the cost of a bag of potato chips

and let
r be the cost of a ring

7d is the cost of seven drinks

6b is the cost of 6 bags of potato chips

so we add them together to get
7d+6b

3r is the cost of three rings

2(3r) is the cost of three rings but doubled

we can expand this to
6r which is the cost of 6 rings (or the cost of two rings but doubled)
