3. When thinking about the density of a boat, combined with everything in it, which must be bigger: its

mass or its volume? Explain your reasoning.

The volume of the boat must be greater than it’s mass.
REASON;
Greater the volume of a boat means greater would be the water it disturbs. Now if the mass of the water it disturbs is greater than the mass of the boat then the boat will be able to move on the surface of the water. Other wise it will sink.
Therefore, it is necessary for a boat to have greater volume than it’s mass.
