The width w = sr(41^2 - 40^2) using Pythagoras. [It is a 9, 40, 41 Pythagorean triple!]
So w = 9cm
Perimeter = 2(length + width) = 2(9 + 40) = 98cm

Perimeter

Find perimeter of rectangle whose length is 40cm and a diagonal is 41 cm.

The formula in finding the perimeter of rectangle is
\tt P = 2(l + w)

  • \tt P = 2(l + w)

  • \tt P = 2(40cm + 41cm)

  • \tt P = 2(81cm)

  • \tt P = 162cm

Therefore, the perimeter of rectangle is 162cm
