Explanation:

8 /3 c - 2 = 2/3 c - 12

Put all the one u want to solve to one side

8 /3 c - 2 = 2/3 c - 12

8/3c - 2/3c = 2-12

6/3c = - 10

Now multiply 3c to both sides

6 = - 30c

c = 6/ - 30

= 1 / - 5

= 1

- - - - - - -

5

Answer:

(8)/(3) c - 2 = (2)/(3) c - 12

add 2 to both sides:

( (8)/(3) c - 2) + 2 = ( (2)/(3) c - 12) + 2 \\ \\ (8)/(3) c = (2)/( 3) c - 10

collect c terms on both sides:

(8)/(3) c - (2)/(3) c = - 10 \\ \\ \{((8 - 2))/(3) \}c = - 10 \\ \\ (6)/(3) c = - 10 \\ \\ 2c = - 10 \\ { \boxed{ \boxed{c = - 5}}}
