John needs to put tape around 40 windows in a building before the painters can get to work. Each window measures 3 feet by 4 feet. Assuming he will use an additional foot of tape per window for overlap, how much tape will John need?

600 feet of tape because 4 +4 for two sides of the window is 8 and 3+ 3 is 6, 14 plus the foot of overlap is 15 x 40 is 600.
