A zoo had 11,287 visitors one weekend,

and an aquarium had 5,159 visitors. How many more
visitors did the zoo get than the aquarium? Use rounding
as a strategy to show your answer is reasonable. Explain.

11,287-5,159 (find the difference) = 6128

I understand they want you to use rounding. I’m not sure whether that is before or after the finding the difference but I would round it up to the nearest 100.

So the two possible answers I would give are

6,100 or 6100

Now that I’ve done both I see that it doesn’t really matter
