How did the Cold War begin, and what were the ways in which both the United States and Soviet Union "fought" each other?​

The Cold War began after World War II when the Soviet Union refused to give up territory it captured during the war. In addition, the Soviet Union and the United States were two superpowers, and they held an uneasy alliance. Both countries "fought" by racing to create the most powerful nuclear weapons. The two superpowers started racing in everything, such as first to go to space, or first to get to the moon.
