  • y=6x+1
  • y=mx+3

Now compare both

  • mx=6x
  • m=6

Hence m=6

Answer:

m = 6

Explanation:

If the system of equations has no solutions, then the lines are parallel.

Parallel lines have the same slope.

The slope-intercept form of a linear equation is y = mx + b
(where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept)

Therefore, the slope of the equation y = 6x + 1 is 6

So the second equation should also have a slope of 6: y = 6x + 3
