I believe the answer is 17, using PEMDAS.

Starting of with the first thing in PEMDAS, the parentheses, 8-5 would equal 3.

Following that, the 3 would be multiplied by the 5, which equals 15.

Finally, the 2 would be added to the 15, which gives you 17.
