Answer:

x < -7

Explanation:

-6x > 42

First you want to divide off -6 to isolate x


(-6x)/(-6) =
(42)/(-6)

keeping in mind what you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other side.

Whenever you divide with a negative number the inequality sign flips from < to > and vice versa.

after you divide off the -6 your left with x <
(42)/(-6) which equals -7.
