First:

A graph that starts y< or y> will always be a dashed line, because the points on the line do not make the equality true.

A graph with y≤ or y≥ will have a solid line.

Second,:

If the equation is y<, then the shading will be below the line. (If you were standing on the line, you'd look straight down for the solutions.)

If the equation is y>, then the shading will be above the line. (If you were standing on the line, you'd look straight up for the solutions.)

For your exercise:

Neither A nor B fits that inequality. I hope there are options C and D
