If LM = 16, MN = 13x, and LN = 19x + 10, what is MN?

LM = 16,

MN = 13x

LN = 19x + 10

Now look at the alphabets and imagine the line in your head. just take it as a straight line

Like this, so we can see that LM+MN = LN

Therefore

LM +MN = LN

16 + 3x = 19x + 10

3x - 19x = - 16 +10

-16x = - 6

16x = 6

8x = 3

x = 3/8

Now put this value of x into MN

MN =13x

= 13 (3/8)

=4.875
