The three major equality issues were equality and representation, slavery, and political equality. They were resolved by three major compromises: Great Compromise, the Three-Fifths Compromise, and the Electoral College. The Great Compromise settled matters of representation in the federal government. Three-Fifths and Electoral College in regards to slave population/voting.
