Explanation:

standard form means that u order each term by highest to lowest degree (degree is like the sum of all the exponents of the variables in a term).
x^5 is the highest,
9x^4 is the second highest,
-8x^3 is the third highest,
-2x^2 is the fourth highest,
7x is the fifth highest, and
-4 is the lowest because if it has no variable, it's equivalent to
-4x^0 which is obviously the lowest. hope this helps
