let the present age of father=x


(x)/(15) =(10)/(3) \\x=(10)/(3) * 15=50 \\

present age of father=50 years

let after y years ages are in the ratio 2:1


(50+y)/(15+y) =(2)/(1)

50+y=2(15+y)

50+y=30+2y

50-30=2y-y

20=y
