two angles and complementary. the measure of one angle is 21 more than twice the measure of the other angle, find the measure of the angles.

lets say angle one is y.

angle two would be 2y + 21.

so, 90 = y + 2y + 21. Group like terms to get 90= 3y +21.

subtract 21 from both sides 69=3y

divided both sides by three 23=y

so angle one is 23, and if you plug in 23 for y in angle two's equation you get 67.
