the upper layer of the earth’s mantle, its below the lithosphere. there is a relatively low resistance to plastic flow and convection happens there

Asthenosphere is the upper layer of the earths mantle, it is below the lithosphere I believe. Correct me if I’m wrong I just vaguely remember from earth science
