Step #1: distribute to get rid of the parentheses
3(5x+7) -6(4-2x) = 3•5x + 3•7 -6•4 -6•(-2x)
= 15x +21 -24 +12x
Step #2: Combine like terms.
What is 15x+12?
What is 21-24?
