This is easy if you know the right formula to use. Here, I’ll walk you through it

To calculate perimeter (borderline) of the rectangle use: 2(l+b). ‘It’s the same as adding the length of all four sides, you can do that too’
To calculate the area of a rectangle the formula is length*width


Now let’s look at the question. For part a it asks us to wrap ribbon *around* the mirror
This means the length of the ribbon will be the same as the perimeter of the mirror


Perimeter=
2(6+10)
= 2(16)
= 32 inches

For part be we have to find the area so:
Length * width
6 * 10 inches
= 60 inches
