Given :

  • Find the gcf of the first two terms and the GCF of the last two terms for the polynomial.

\qquad \longrightarrow \sf \: 5p {}^(3) + 10 {p}^(2) + 3p + 6

Solution :

The first two terms of the polynomials are :

\qquad \longrightarrow \sf \: 5p {}^(3) + 10 {p}^(2)

\qquad \longrightarrow \sf \: 5p {}^(2) (p + 2)

Therefore,

  • Their Greatest common factor is 5p² .

The last two terms of the polynomials are :

\qquad \longrightarrow \sf \: 3p + 6

\qquad \longrightarrow \sf \: 3(p + 2)

Therefore,

  • Their Greatest common factor is 3 .
