Kidney :
Location :
kidney is present in the back of our abdomen, on each side of our vertebral column.
Structure :
It has a bean shaped structure consisting of three main sections Outer renal cortex, Inner renal medulla and Renal pelvis.
( It is composed of cells known as Nephron )
Function :
The main function of kidney is to remove waste products and excess water from our body, thus maintaining overall fluid balance. and it also regulates and filters minerals from blood.
