we know that to find the area of a triangle, we use A=bh/2 as a formula. In the information, we arent given the base, so we will substitute it with a variable, “b”

work
__________
a=bh/2

a=b•8=48

because we have to divide the quotient by 2, we add 48+48 and get 96.

96 divided by 8 (height) = 12

so, B=12

Answer:

Area formular of a triangle :

area = (1)/(2) * base * height

area » 48 ft

height » 8 ft

let the base the b :

substitute:

48 = (1)/(2) * b * 8 \\ \\ 48 = ((b * 8))/(2) \\ \\ 48 = b * ( (8)/(2) ) \\ \\ 48 = b * 4 \\ b * 4 = 48

divide either sides by 4:

(b * 4)/(4) = (48)/(4) \\ \\ { \boxed{ \boxed{base = 12 \: \: feet}}}
