C = (1, 14 )

Explanation:

The coordinates of the midpoint are the average of the x and y coordinates of the endpoints.

Find the average of endpoints and equate to coordinates of midpoint

A (5, - 2 ) , let C = (x, y ) , then


(x+5)/(2) = 3 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

x + 5 = 6 ( subtract 5 from both sides )

x = 1

and


(y-2)/(2) = 6 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

y - 2 = 12 ( add 2 to both sides )

y = 14

Coordinates of C = (1, 14 )
