Explanation:

Let the other end point be (a,b)

Then the midpoint p(0,-1) is between the two end points (-1,0) and (a,b)

So

(0,-1) = ( (-1+a)/2 , (0+b)/2)

So we have

0 = (-1 +a) /2

0 = -1 + a

a =1

and

-1 = (0+b)/2

-2 = 0+b

b = -2

So the other end point is ( 1, -2)
