English is derived from Germanic, Greek, and the Latin language, as for Spanish, a rough majority of it is simply Latin, such as the word te. 20-21 countries officially speak Spanish whereas a whopping 67 belong to English.

For example, the Spanish word comercial looks uncannily similar to commercial in English, and they mean the same thing, their pronunciation is off. Comercial would be pronounced "co-mer-see-al" whereas in English, commercial would be "cuh-mir-shul".
