Answer:

Camel is the most suitable means of transport and beast of burden in the desert as it remarkably adapts itself to the rough conditions. It can survive on less water for long durations. It has padded feet which protects the feet from being burnt in the scorching heat of the hot sand. Its hairy eyelashes and ears prevent sand and gritty materials from entering through it. And because of all these reasons, camels are known as the 'Ship of the Desert'.

Step-by-step explanation:

With a special ability to store water on its back, the special feet helps them for travelling in desert. So,camel is called"ship of the desert".

It can adapt easily in the desert because of its storing capability and it can adapt easily in desert because its skin prevents water loss which makes the camel more active.
