Miriam is buying popsicles for the after school reading program at the public library. 3 out of 12 popsicles in a carton are red. If Miriam bought 84 popsicles, how many of them are NOT red?

Explanation:

This is because we can find the percentage rate for Miriam orignal sales which is 3 poposical out of 12 which are red which means you can put it as 3/12 which is also 0.25 percent if you divide it. Meaning if you times 25% by 84 you will get 21 WHICH IS how much red popsicles there are then you have to subtract cuz they want NOT red.
