I am a firefighter working for the LAFD, it was a normal sunny day until I received a call. There was a lady's house that was burning down, so like usual we got the call got in the truck, and went to help, but not this time. We had received many other calls, there had been a fire started by some teenagers trying to pull a prank on someone, but they couldn't control the fire so it spread all throughout Los Angeles. We had so many teams out trying to put out fires and save people. I was assigned to the Gas Company Tower to evacuate all people in the tower before the fire came, I rushed through the tower shouting Evacuate immediately! There's a fire headed for this tower! People started to rush out of the tower while I continued to rush up to each floor and get the others out. But as I reached the top floor the fire had come bursting glass, alarms going off, work areas burning up, I had to hurry and be quick. It was smokey I couldn't see well, then I heard a woman's voice shouting, Help! Help! I followed her voice, I reached out for the woman to grab my hand, but from all the smoke she passed out, I put a mask on her covering her nose and mouth I picked her up and carried her trying to find a way out, Suddenly I heard a crack and then Boom! The ceiling had fallen in on us, everything was black, before passing out I heard sirens and people shouting, I heard a guy's voice it was my friend Jerry. I woke up in the hospital with all my friends and family around, I was happy to still be alive they told me the fires had been put out and the woman I tried to save in the building was also in the hospital, she was going to make it. 139 people had died that day.
