Sometimes your friends will have suggestions that are just not good ideas. Give an example of a situation when you would need to refuse to do something and the language that you would use to communicate “no.” Then explain why a refusal is better than a negotiation in this circumstance.

Answer:

In my religion, drinking is not allowed, and we are very strict about it. If any of my friends, try to give me a beer to ‘‘taste’’ I would refuse. If I try to make a compromise with my friends about drinking, it wouldn’t be successful because it might backfire on me and I would go against my religion. (I also would have to tell them why I am not drinking.)

Step-by-step explanation:

also try to explain why you are saying no.

my friend asked me if I could un pack her belongings in her new home, since she's my friend I didn't want to make her unhappy because she's my friend. but now I end up doing almost all of her packing & it backfires for me. sometimes it's good to say "no." or a simple "I don't have time, I'm sorry." you should stand your ground & never ever be a people pleaser, because most people will find that about you, and take advantage of that.
