a^8/b^12 --> a.k.a answer d

Explanation:

when there's an exponent outside of a parenthesis of exponents inside, you're basically just going to multiply them together. not add or anything

2 * 4 = 8

3 * 4 = 12

and we cant divide or do anything else with the product b/c a and b are both different variables and we don't know what they are
