Answer:

width=20 cm

Explanation:

h=3 cm

w=5 cm

proportional rectangle:

height=12

  • Here height has become 12 by multiplying 3 by 4.Therefore to find the width do the same thing.

width=5*4

=20 cm

The ratio will be same

  • Let width be x

\\ \sf\longmapsto (3)/(5)=(12)/(x)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3x=5(12)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3x=60

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=(60)/(3)

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=20cm
