Answer:

(-2.5 , 1)

Explanation:

the x- coordinates :

[(3×(-2)) + (1×(-4))] /(3+1)

= (-6 +(-4))/(4)

= -10/4

= -2.5

the y-coordinates :

[(3×(-2)) + (1×10)] / (3+1)

= (-6+10)/(4)

= 4/4

= 1

so, the coordinates are (-2.5 , 1)

Answer:

  • (-2.5, 1)

Explanation:

Directed line segment from (−4,10) to (-2, -2).

The ratio = 3/1.

The coordinates are:

  • x = -4 + 3/4*(-2 - (-4)) = -4 + 3/4*(2) = -4 + 1.5 = - 2.5
  • y = 10 + 3/4(-2 - 10) = 10 + 3/4*(-12) = 10 - 9 = 1
