w = 7

Explanation:

L = 22

L = 2*w + 8

Since the Ls are the same thing, you can equate them

2w + 8 = 22 Subtract 8 from both sides

2w = 22 - 8 Combine

2w = 14 divide by 2

w = 14/2

w = 7
