We divide both numbers by three bcz both are multiples of three
And by dividing them by three we get:
9……….3
— ➗ —. = 3/4
12……..3

Both 9 and 12 can be divided by 3.
Divide both 9 and 12 by 3.
9/3=3 12/3=4
9/12=3/4
3/4 is the simplest form of 9/12
