Explanation:

—8 – 4x > 1

adding 8 on both sides,we get

-8-4x+8>1+8

-4x>9

by dividing both sides by -4, we get

-4x/-4<9/-4

x<-2.25

Hence, from the above option only -10 is smaller than -2.25. Therefore your answer is option 1.
