Sorry but you did it wrong...

First you gonna make 4
(3)/(7) become 3
(10)/(7) ( 4 -> 3
(7)/(7) - *you need to make it become the same denominator)

Lets do it: 3
(10)/(7) -
(5)/(7) = ...

Because in
(5)/(7) doesn't have a whole number so you will still keep 3

3
(10)/(7) -
(5)/(7) = 3.....

Next, you gonna subtract
(10)/(7) -
(5)/(7) =
(10-5)/(7) =
(5)/(7)

3
(10)/(7) -
(5)/(7) = 3
(5)/(7)

SO the answer for 4
(3)/(7) -
(5)/(7) is 3
(5)/(7)

Hope it helps, Studywell!

Answer:

You have done it wrong.

Explanation:

4 3/7 - 5/7 = 3 5/7

We can change the equation to a improper fraction first.

4 3/7 = 4*7+3 = 31/7

31-5 = 26

Therefore the answer is 26/7.

simplify

The answer is equal to 26/7, or 21/7 + 5/7

Which is 3 5/7
