At a bake sale there were 52 items sold total. If 24 of the items sold were cookies and the rest were brownies what is the ratio of brownies sold to cookies sold?

52=24 + b
to find b, you just subtract (52-24)
28 to 24 is our ratio
we can simplify this (just like fractions!) since both are even, let’s do it by 2!
28/2 = 14 and 24/2 = 12
simplify once more and you get our ANSWER: 7:6
