Since two horizontal lines are parallel, it's shown with the notches at the tip,

We can conclude that A and B has same measurement because they are alternate exterior angles therefore:

<A = <B

8x + 78 = 2x + 114 export like terms to same side of the equation

8x - 2x = 114 - 78

6x = 36 divide both sides by 6

x = 6

To find the value of angle B replace x with 6

2*6 + 114 = 126
