Line 1: (9+x)x

Line 2: x(9 + x)

The order of multiplies changed.

This is called a Commutative Property of Multiplication.

  • ab = ba or
  • (9 + x)x = x(9 + x)

Line 3: x(x+9)

The order of added terms within parenthesis changed.

This is called a Commutative Property of Addition.
