The capacity of cylinder tank is 539 litres . if its height is 1.4m then find the area of base

Capacity of the Cylinder tank, V = 539 litres =

Height, h = 1.4 m

Area of the Cylinder, A = ?

Convert litres to m³: I litre = 0.001 m3

: . Capacity of the Cylinder tank = 539 litres = 0.539 m³

Let the radius of the base be r cm.

Find the radius of Cylinder:

Volume = πr²h

0.539 = πr²(1.4)

0.539 ÷ 1.4π = r²

r² = 0.12255

r = √0.12255

r = 0.35m

Find Area of Base:

Area, A = πr²

Area = π(0.35)² = 0.385 m²

Answer: The Area of base is 0.385 m²

Here,

Volume of the tank=539 litres

=539×1000cm^3=539000cm^3

Height=1.4×100cm=140cm

Let the radius of the base be r cm

Then,

22/7×r^2×140=539000

or,r^2=539000×7/22×140

or,r^2=1225

or,r=35 cm

So,

Area of base=pie r^2

=22/7×35^2

=3850 cm^2
